Update
So today is February 10th. 2 weeks from when we officially restart our adoption process. I am feeling so blessed, full of joy and hope for what our future lives hold. Our social worker Ruth is coming on Feb. 24th at 5 pm. She will be here for 2 reasons. She will be doing our 6 month post placement report for Claire and she will be updating our home study for our next amazing journey.
Claire has been doing wonderfully lately. We went through a rough patch of having a bad cold and then getting her top 2 teeth. That has all past and this last week has been great. She is back to her happy silly self. She has learned how to kick a ball, she has been doing a lot with her feet lately and it is really funny. She will try to move things with her feet and she likes to feel different textures.
Claire gets tons of attention from Darin and I and all of the extended family. It will be interesting to see how she reacts to that being a little different when a brother and sister are in the mix. I was thinking about that today as I was sitting there feeding her. I will cut up pieces of whatever it is she is eating and I will sit there and watch her pick it up and put it in her mouth. (everything she does is so precious.) But then I thought... I am going to get up and do dishes while she eats. Well Claire has also found it pretty neat that I sit there and watch eat so needless to say she was not happy when I got up and was not paying attention to her. She did finish eating but she was not very happy about me not watching her. The funny thing is that my kitchen and dining room are connected so when she was eating she was just across the counter from me. She could see me and I her. She just did not like the fact that I was not giving 100% attention to her... uhh ohh. :)
