My sweet little Ethiopian...

My Sweet Stella still has so many "Ethiopian traits." This is something I love about her SO MUCH!
Stella is a tiny little peanut. She is about 22 lbs (Ben is almost 30lbs) and she is a shorty. She just has a tiny patch of hair that grows on the top and a little hair that come in at the bottom of her head. :) We have tried to cut the top and back to let the rest catch up but the sides and back just do not grow...

In Ethiopia feeding some one is a sign of love. She LOVES to feed anyone and everyone. But especially her brother Ben...because, well quite frankly he LOVES to eat, he is really laid back, and he will take food any way he can get it!

Another Ethiopian trait I love about her is her casual affection. It is nothing for her to put her arm around her brother. I will find them spontaneously holding hands while they walk down the hall, or when they are sitting and playing.

Stella is a cuddler. She loves touch. She can melt your heart with a simple grab of your hand. She is beautiful and I enjoy this sweet little Ethiopian-American girl to my core!

I am so thankful that she has kept these great traits!

Your My Best Friend

We hear this a lot lately.

Claire loves to tell us that we are her best friend.

With all kinds of different things that she likes to say these days...

I just don't know if there is a much sweeter phrase that could come from my little ones mouth.

Claire, You are my best friend too!

Claire will tell me all the time,"Mommy, my best friends are Ben and 'Tella."

{Were still working on saying Stella}

And I will say,"Oh Claire that makes me so happy! I hope you will feel that your whole life!!"

Claire and Ben are definitely best friends.

Claire and Stella are best friends for sure!! {when they want to be}

I do not think there is any one else in the world that values being Claire's best friend quite like her daddy does.

I love to hear Claire say,"Daddy... your my best friend."

Claire the feeling is totally mutual!

This bites!!!

Teething...

Clearly pizza was not the right choice for a teething little Stella. She did not eat much of it. I kept trying to put little bites in her mouth and she kept pushing me away saying, "Nooooo!"
I just looked in her little mouth and sure enough she has 6 teeth on the top that just popped through and 2 on the bottom... You can see these sharp little white specks all over her gums...
OUCH!!
No wonder she has not been so nice lately...
It all makes a bit more sense.

Some of the battle wounds from Stella teething include but are not limited to:

Big bit mark on Claire's middle finger. {If she shows you do not be offended she is just showing you her ouchy}
Big 'ol bump on my little mans head. Stella did not want him on "her" chair.
Constant screaming matches from the girls, which turn into hitting and then ='s scratches, bumps and bruises. {Seriously they are only 2 and 1 years old!! I can not imagine 18 more years of this!}

I think we are on the tail end of Stella teething though!!
Pheeww....

I would truly appreciate prayers for my patience though all of this!

Tangled...

Tangles abound in our home.

Stella and Ben's hair is growing and that creates some tangles....
I am excited to see how Stella's hair comes in!! I am sure it will be gorgeous!

Claire's hair is a constant battle with tangles. It is by far some of the most beautiful hair I have ever seen. But that does not mean it does not come with it's tangles.

The kiddos have really learned how to
tangle.
{And not tangle in a good way.}
They fight all the time! (I am not exaggerating..all the time)
Stella and Ben have this extremely high pitched scream that will make your ear drums burst. Claire enjoys getting a BIG scream out of them every now and again...
It is not cool!

The kiddo's favorite movie is Tangled right now... and I must say that I LOVE it too! The best daddy in the world surprised his little girls with the movie on Saturday! Its been playing almost non-stop since. It keeps their attention for a while and gives me a little time to relax and not have to break up a fight. ;)

So we have been Tangled lately.
Some Tangles are so much fun.. on the other hand... some not so fun.

What movies do your kiddos love? I will be tired of Tangled soon with as much as we watch it these days and I will need a new one soon! Suggestions?
