OHHH I Can't wait to hold her!!!!

Hi Everyone!!!!

Last Day....

Yesterday was my last day at the Fringe for 9 weeks and I want to post a bit about what the Fringe Salon means to me. First off I have met some of the most wonderful and amazing women! When I say that I mean it for the bottom of my heart! There are so many of you who have helped mold me and shape me into the person I am today! I have truly enjoyed each one of my clients and to each of you I say THANK YOU for helping me put Darin through his under grad at Bethel, and then staying with me when I only worked 3 days (they were sometimes 13 hour days) when Darin went to Law School. You were all so encouraging when I was struggling after I lost my pregnancy. And now with this beautiful and amazing journey of becoming a family as we leave in 6 days to go get Claire. I am truly blessed to have each and everyone of you in my life.
And to my amazing coworkers you are not coworkers you truly are friends! The baby shower was AWESOME the baby monitor rocks! I can't believe it has night vision! lol and the play gym is also great! To all of you who have made fringe salon what it is I thank you!! There can't be a better reason than Claire to leave such a great place where so many memories and friendships have been made. So yesterday was bitter sweet I am so sad to be leaving all of you for a while... but Ill be back.

As I was crying driving home from work yesterday I got a phone call from Darin. We got some more pictures of Claire!!!!! It all made sense:) Thanks La

My 1st Post

Ok, my name is Jolene Shrock. I am married to the most wonderful man :) Darin. We are in the process of adopting a little girl from Ethiopia. Her name is Claire Dollame Shrock. I'll give you a run down of what has happened thus far in our journey. We had done lots of research before making this decision. I had talked to my wonderful Kathy Mom. (Kathy Miller) and she told me to get in contact with her friend Sue Hedberg. She said she was the coordinator for Celebrate Children Internationals Ethiopian program. So I did. Sue had told me that at that point she was not working with infants, but if we wanted a little girl who was more like 3 or 4 she could make that happen pretty quickly. This will be our first child and we wanted an infant so...We signed up with FTIA the first week of February. Darin was just weeks away from taking the bar. So we slowly got started. We were in full swing of getting our dossier together by the beginning of March. Then on May 11th I got a phone Call from my Kathy Mom. She had to tell us some news... (Kathy is one of my very best girl friend's mom she was like a second mom growing up and now through this you'll see how she became a very huge part of us getting Claire) (love you Jena!) She sat down on my couch with tears in her eyes and said "God is Good."She had told me that Sue had just come back from Ethiopia. She said Sue had just had 6 infants come to the orphanage and that if Darin and I were in the right spot of our process that we might have the chance to have one of the babies. She said that 4 of the little babies already had forever home and that we have the amazing opportunity of picking from 2 little girls! I just cried at this news. They were tears of JOY, I was OVERWHELMED, SHOCKED, but mostly I was in awe of Gods AMAZING power!!! We were on month 3 of our journey and we were getting pictures!!! It was Monday May 18th at 10:15 am that we got our first picture of Dollame. It was her beautiful eyes that peered right into my heart! Then in June it was crazy getting all the finishing touches on the paper work. And Bless my Mom for running all around Indiana with me! I had to take 2 days off of work and run down to Indy, but in the end it all got to Ethiopia on time and we had a court date on the 8th of July! and we Passed! So now it has been a waiting game with USCIS. We have had one exciting week! We have been waiting on our I-171h form to come from USCIS in the mail for about 3 weeks! (for any of you in the adoption process you know what this is) The I-171h for basically if a form from our immigration services. It would allow us to bring Claire back into the united states. So we now booked flight to go get Claire! We leave on August the 21st and we come back on the 28th! So Exciting!!!!
